Therapy for
Trans & Gender Diverse Folks

Gender, Experience & Authenticity

One’s experience of gender, or lack of gender, is unique to each individual. While some may conform to the limited societal views of gender, many of us who don’t refuse to live a life that is false and not a full expression of our most deeply held truths. What makes living authentically further complicated for many people are the societal and familial pressures, politicization, and falsely generated cultural outrage.

Gender Affirming Care for Transgender, Gender Diverse, Gender Nonconforming, & Nonbinary People

Gender affirming therapy is facilitated or conducted by a clinician who understands, supports, and embraces the varied experience of people who identify as gender minorities. Treatment should go beyond creating a space that is safe and protected. A gender affirming environment should be all of these things as well as freeing, validating, and accepting so one can fully express and explore all aspects of their identities and process through left over or internalized feelings of homophobia or transphobia. As a queer therapist, I understand the unique challenges faced by people who identify as a gender and/or sexual minority. I am committed to perpetuating and furthering opportunities for healing, liberation, and growth for the gender diverse, trans, and nonbinary people I have the honor to work with.Write your text here...
