I'm Analyn Abad

Hello

Registered Associate Marriage & Family Therapist

Credentials & Supervision

I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (Registration Number TBA), practicing under the supervision of Erik Karff, LMFT #134190.

My approach to therapy is collaborative, strengths-based, and relational. I believe therapy should feel supportive, real, and judgment-free — not intimidating or performative. You don’t need to arrive with everything figured out. All that’s required is a willingness to show up and be curious about what you’re carrying.

Together, we’ll work to better understand your emotional patterns, build tools that actually fit your life, and create space for clarity and self-trust. I aim to meet you where you are and move at a pace that feels manageable and respectful.

My Approach to Therapy

I work with young adults and adults who are feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck — especially those navigating anxiety, depression, identity questions, and major life transitions. When life shifts quickly or feels uncertain, it can be hard to know where to land or how to steady yourself. Therapy can be a place to slow down, make sense of what’s happening, and reconnect with what matters to you.

Lived Experience & Perespecives

I am an adoptee, and my own life has included navigating culture shock, major transitions, and the ongoing process of figuring out where I belong. These experiences shaped my understanding of identity, resilience, and the importance of giving yourself grace during times of change.

I am also a mother, which has deepened my appreciation for how roles, responsibilities, and priorities evolve over time. These lived experiences inform how I show up as a therapist — with warmth, humility, and deep respect for each person’s story, without assumptions or pressure to move faster than feels right.

My Philosophy of Care

I believe you are the expert in your own life. My role is not to fix or direct you, but to walk alongside you — listening carefully, offering perspective, and helping you make meaning of your experiences in a way that feels supportive and grounded.

I understand how messy and overwhelming transitions can feel, and I believe no one has to navigate them alone.
